Adolescent Psychology
Adolescence is when identity is rebuilt and emotions are felt most intensely. Our psychologists create a space where a young person is listened to without judgement — and where their own words come first.

How we work with young people
Teenagers need to be understood far more than they need to be instructed. The work usually runs on two parallel tracks: the young person's own sessions and regular parent consultations. For younger children, see our child psychology page.
Their Own Space
The session belongs to the young person. The limits of confidentiality are agreed openly with both teenager and parents at the outset.
Working With Parents
Parents receive guidance on boundaries, communication and defusing conflict before it escalates.
Emotion Regulation Skills
Practical, age-appropriate skills for managing anger, anxiety and overwhelming feelings.
Liaison With School
Where helpful and with family consent, we coordinate with the school's guidance service.
